RIKON's low speed bench grinders make your tool sharpening and other grinding needs easier and more precise! The lower 1,750 RPM speed compared to the typical higher 3,450 RPM speed of other grinders gives you better control over the amount of metal being removed. It also reduces heat build-up and bluing of the cutting edge being sharpened, which protects the hardness and temper of the tool. The 80-808 grinder features a larger 1HP motor designed to handle the tough grinding jobs that are typical in production shops, as well as the finesse shaping and sharpening of your hand tools. The two 8" aluminum oxide grinding wheels feature 60-grit and 120-grit surfaces. Other features include a cast iron base with vibration-reducing rubber feet and predrilled holes to mount the grinder to your workbench; powerful LED gooseneck light; large adjustable cast metal tool rests; dual dust collection ports; and a safety on/off switch with removable security tab. Safety features include metal wheel guards, adjustable spark shields, and adjustable safety eye shields. A second pair of eye shields with 2x magnification are included to enable closer inspection of the edge being ground. RIKON's bench grinders are wired for use with 3-wire 120V electrical receptacles. Comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty against defect in materials and manufacturing.
