Super UT Post Fastener is the fast and easy way to securely fasten a Newel
post to a staircase. For anyone who has ever assembled a staircase, the time
saving benefits alone will amaze you! Its all-metal design features an open
channel die-cast housing that allows for easy securing of the Super UT to the
post. The Zipbolt gear drive system allows the connector to be positioned deep
within any kind of post and easily tightened with a hex bit in a cordless
drill, screwdriver, or Allen key. The length of the wood screw thread ensures
an extremely strong hold in the floor and is screwed in with an adjustable
spanner or a wrench. A 6mm hex bit with quick release shank and 2 wood plugs

Strong & Hidden Connection The Super UT is perfect for joining Newel posts to
staircases or decking, as well as any general woodworking applications where a
strong connection is needed. Once the gear housing is engaged, it is easy to
tighten the Super UT using a hex bit with power. Read more Install Newel Post
in 3 Steps Step 1: Drill Below Post and Install Super UT Drill for Super UT at
location of Newel post using a 3/8" bit and ream if necessary; make sure you
are drilling into a framing member to ensure rigidity. Insert screw end of
Super UT and tighten with a wrench. Step 2: Drill Newel Post and Place into
Position Find center and drill Newel post for gear housing using 1-1/2" paddle
bit. Find center and drill for thread end of Super UT using 5/8" bit. Place
post over Super UT and place gear housing on threads. Step 3: Tighten Gear
Housing and Glue Tighten gear housing with included 6mm drill bit. Dry fit to
check for plumb before gluing post. Once everything looks good, glue and
insert the included wood plug; sand flush.
